I can’t believe this … Tommy Emmanuel and John Mayer … both in the same year. Only thing that would top this off is if I got Class-A tickets to Clapton.

We took this when Laura and I were at Kiama to celebrate our first year of marriage. Kiama was the place I was in when I decided I wanted to marry Laura and Kiama was the place where we got engaged – we thought it would be cool to go back … it was … we were right.

what good is a blog if you can’t use it to post things that only you are proud of? Tonight I got my highest ever bowling score and it involved a ‘turkey’ (that’s 3 strikes in a row).

James would like me to point out : “that the only reason you won is cause I didn’t bring my ball”. Comment noted … somehow the score card still reads ’194′ … unfortunately …

I have fallen in love with the strat sound all over again. In search of pictures to post, I found this fender advertisement for the John Mayer signature guitar. I don’t know why I like it (it is just Mayer with his guitars), but I thought it was cool.

I was stinging for John Mayer’s new album to come out … I couldn’t wait. I got it on the weekend and have listened to it non-stop. I got to tell you, I am not disappointed at all! I found John Mayer late, and so I heard his first and second album at the same time and immediately warmed to Heavier Things cause I found it more bluesy. Continuum takes that next step to be even bluesier. I am loving every part of it.

I found out today that he is coming out later in the year … so keen. Tommy Emmanuel and John Mayer and U2 all in the same year! Out of control.
