Good Australian music is … well I have more pride in my country when I hear good music come out it. I don’t know what it is – I guess is a comforting feeling when you don’t have to search wide and far for quality like this.
Sarah Blasko is amazing. I remember hearing her EP ‘prelusive’ and although I wasn’t captured immedietly I was struck by how unique she was. I was refreshing. Then to hear her album ‘The Overture And The Underscore’ – it is really something. Although it is old now, I still love it.
Gotye: again, really interesting. If you want a free gotye track then iTunes has got one on its ‘free download’ this week. He also has some on his website. Although I haven’t listened to his whole album (yeah, I have listened to more than one track) he is really interesting. Really delicate.
THANKYOU Something for Kate! Thankyou for creating the album that should have come after ‘Beautiful Sharks’! I have been waiting a while, but this is so worth it. I haven’t been able to take this out of my car for ages. Not only do I get stoked by his guitar playing and choice of amazing notes, the melody lines he chooses are the best. Paul Dempsey has so much passion and stlye. I want to be him … he plays a tele too. This album is amazing.
