holiday … it would be so nice!
It was so nice. Laura and I had a great time. I will run you through some of it with pictures.

I love planes. I love the speed, the fact that it flies through the air, the air hostesses (they are helpful, that is all!). We only had a one hour flight from Sydney to Ballina, but it was still cool – just to see all the lakes, houses, rivers, national parks, everything below was fascinating.

On the first day we decided to walk to the Light house. It was one of the windiest days I have ever lived through (other ones I have died in). I wanted to go Hang Gliding that week, but there was no way they were even going to think about going out in that wind. So, this is the closest I got. i climbed the barrier and stood out on the launch dock and gave myself to the sky … wasn’t as cool as it sounds. Below is the lighthouse with Laura in front of it.

There was so many cool places to eat. Most of them overpriced, some of them good. We went to one cafe and the food took forever (not literally). I oredered a chicken, cheese and avacado sandwich … and they forgot the avacado. The chef must of got lost after ‘cheese’ and given up. Tough job.

The beaches were beautiful. Spent a bit of time there. We went sea kyacking and saw humpback wales, and 3 packs of dolphins. The dolphins were amazing – they swum through and around our group of kyacks. I wanted to ride them but supposedly they don’t like it. I bet you no one has ever heard that from a dolphin.

This is photo of Laura just to prove that she came with me. All smiles as we take in the sun on our last day and do the laps of Byron to say goodbye.

Everybody has a go at taking these shots. Clouds are so interesting so they always look cool. The plane trip back was not as good … we saw snakes on a plane while we were in Bryon and so I was afraid that a Cobra was going to come out from under the seat and bite me seven times in really rotten places. I don’t know why I even let this worry me a tiny bit … such a dumb movie … but atleast it lived up to what it promised – snakes on a plane.
All in all, a fabulous holiday. Would recommend Byron to everyone.

“The plane trip back was not as good … we saw snakes on a plane” I thought for a minute that they showed “Snakes on a Plane” as in flight entertainment.
True story though: last time I caught a plan, while we were waiting to board at the gate there was some TV’s playing a plane crash movie … tasteful
