iWeb then iCried

Last week a mate rang me up to ask a question about the program iWeb. I hadn’t used it much. I was toying with the idea of using it to make my blog before I started this one – so I had the shell of a website called Paul. (I named it after me).

iWeb and iCried

I opened up iWeb and was walking this friend through a few steps.

“so just publish your folder to your desktop …” suddenly I started sweating and nearly threw up. I realised that without warning me (*!#$@*) iWeb had published a folder called Paul on the desktop OVERWRITING MY MAIN FOLDER called Paul. Consequently I had erased all of my business and personal files.

When I put down the phone and nearly collapsed. Luckily a few weeks ago I had backed up all the business stuff, but there are a tonne of photos and personal designs that I will never see again.

Thank you iWeb for the massive kick in the guts! I got my eye on you.

Yeah well I am glad it wasnt me cos when you told me about iWeb (to make my churches website http://www.lpuc.org.au) it was while you were at work and you wouldn’t be playing around with iWeb while you were at work.

so yeah thanks for letting me know about the program, but I am sorry for your loss.
