tartan watch

Tartan – that would be the celebrity name for a ninja turtle dating a spartan.

I saw the new TMNT movie two days ago. Joe got preview tickets and so I went along with him. I loved the turtles when I was younger – too much maybe. I was really excited to go and when we go there, there was tonnes of families with kids and stuff. Apart from feeling a little old and creepy, I remembered how much I loved them.

I really enjoyed the movie – I don’t know if that was mainly because of the nostalgia element. I reckon it is worth checking out if you were a fan. Makes the old movies look like a fair bit of a joke.

300 comes out soon. I am pretty keen. At Luke’s 21st Ben said that they are showing it at the IMAX. Imagine that! I am already there.

Laura with her new glasses

It was Luke’s 21st birthday party last night – such a blast. I caught a photo of Laura with her new glasses. We thought we would buy big so that she can grow into them.

Laura and I have been together 5 years as of yesterday. Not married for 5 years, just ‘going round together’ as my Mum says.

Sebastian Hanna - growing up Sebastian Hanna - growing up

This weekend a few of Derek’s mate and I went up to surprise him in Brisbane. He is turning 30 pretty soon so we thought we would give him an early birthday present. Turned out a treat – he had no idea. Jac planned it all really well. It was good to give him his iPod in person too. We had amazing food at this Belgian Bar, played way too much xbox, and I got to see Derek in action at his church. Good times.

I didn’t take many pictures of anyone but Sebastian so … sorry, no party shots. Sebastian is really growing up. He is running round, discovering things, kicking balls, throwing food. It was great to spend some time with him. Will hopefully get to again soon.

paul : in the shadows

paul : in the shadows paul : in the shadows

You may think this is vain … but that song is actually about me. No, I joke – that is what I do.

I took these photos the other night. You may not appreciate the subject matter, but I was pretty happy with how the effect came out.

the dears

Last night Luke and I went and saw the dears play at rebel rebel. If the number of the concert is anything to go by … not many people are into the dears or know who they are! It wasn’t empty, but I have seen it busier.

This was great for us though. I stood at Murray’s (the lead singer’s) feet. I was captivated. They played such an intense and flawless show. He even high five’d me on the way off stage. Special. Oh dear, I like the dears.
