On Friday night Luke and I went to see the funkiest keys player in town – Baher Shenouda. Baher is part of ‘Seduisant’ that play at Moretons Hotel every week. Baher makes UNSW a better place.

I got this from ebay the other day. It is my new Blue Boy Deluxe – this pedal is amazing. Every [blues] guitarist is trying to replicate the ‘tube screamer’ overdrive sound people like Clapton or Stevie Ray Vaughan. (Check this post here – if you click on the image, the ‘tube screamer’ is the green pedal).

This pedal is like that, but turned up to 11. One more tiny step closer to becoming a blues god. I am going to give it a whirl tonight – one of the last fifthnation gigs. Should be special.

This weekend Laura and I went to Gerroa with her family. It lived up to the saying “fun for the whole family!” The place we stayed at was really peaceful and had a great view of the beach.

On Saturday, some of us went horse riding which was an adventure in many ways. I took my camera and got some shots of the horses up close. I am always fascinated by animal’s eyes – first shot is the horse Mrs Holm rode and then the horse that Jo Jo rode.

I tried to get some good shots of Laura to post up, cause it was her birthday last Thursday, but no dice. I should have times aside from meals.

I guess cause I like guitars I found this amazing. I love a great carrying device.
