Beirut - The Flying Club Cup Laura Veirs - Year of Meteors Katalyst - What’s Happening

Listening to Beirut is like walking through the streets of France in the 1900’s. The sounds are so authentic and the songs themselves are so moving. Ben Young lent me this and I have hardly stopped listening to it … then for Christmas, Mez & Ben bought me tickets to see them next year when they come out! The fun doesn’t stop!

Year of the Meteors takes me to another place with its layered and beautiful sounds.

If you want to funk out and bust a hip doing it, then check out Katalyst’s new album. You may have heard ‘How Bout Us’ on jjj – it has got so much groove.

Some local artist does up these images, prints them and then plasters them around town. I have seen a few and have loved them but have never had my camera with me.

I saw this on the other day in Central. It was of a black & white – when I was loading the photo onto the computer Laura says “you could colour that in!” … so I did!

Grind Café with Ben Young

That is the second ‘You’re so Vain‘ reference on this blog – fuel for the readership fire! I took these the other day at Cronulla at the Grind Café and shops around there. I always found it amazing how they could make shapes in the milk foam. Genius!

Ninjas to the Maxx - wallpaper 1680×1050

Last night I scored my first goal at indoor soccer. Our team name is ‘Ninjas to the Maxx’ which is pretty hardcore.

Ben Young was taking a corner kick, I ran from the centre of the court and called for the ball “BEN!”. Ben placed a cheeky but fast paced ball straight to my feet to which I swung … BAM – bottom near corner at lightning speed.

I am not going to lie, it felt good. It felt so good that when I came home I had the above idea for our team logo. If your computer is bland then feel free to download the image to spice it up and also to remind you of the amazing moment that was my first goal at indoor soccer. You’re welcome.
