Recently I bought Hipstamatic for my iPhone and I am addicted. I have always loved the lomo style of photos and supposedly the original hipstamatic cameras were very similar.  This program replicates your photos in the same style. You can choose from different lenses and films etc – Too much fun.

It also means that I end up taking a lot more photos which is great. Since moving into our new unit i have been going crazy. The first is a shot I took on our balcony with the sunshine streaming in, and the second is down at Cronulla beach a few mornings earlier where it continually rained all week.

Another big step in my geek life is signing up to flickr. I always thought flickr was a fad that would die out, but since I am taking so many photos I have found it really great. It is like the facebook between photographers (amateur, professional and guys with an iPhone).

It’s my Dad’s birthday today – he is very much to thank for my love of photography.
