poursuivez le soleil

At uni I chose the subject ‘Electronic Music‘. For our main assignment we had to record a song and so I chose to do the filthiest, nastiest, cheesiest synth anthem I could. Mission accomplished.

I got Steph to make up some lyrics and sing over it which turned out really great – especially cause they are in french. Download it and have a listen – especially take note of the massive 80′s guitar solo that is harmonized … with finger tapping. Yes.

It’s called ‘Crazy Days in Tokyo‘.  I completely expect it to be the next big thing on the internet.  My very own sneezing panda or fat kid dancing.

FisherKing EP

Yesterday I picked up 1000 FisherKing EP’s.  It is pretty all exciting.  It is the first CD cover design that I have done like this.

We are having an EP Preview Show at the Brass Monkey on 8th October.  Come down and check it out if you are round that way.

FisherKing Promo Photos

The other day we took band photos for FisherKing. I felt pretty awkward, but some of the photos came out really well. This one was my favourite. If you click on the picture to get the full image you can see me sporting a lovely prop.

Mel Stephenson (Sam’s wife) took the photos. We were on a jetty down on the water near Burraneer Bay. Lovely spot.

Paul Plays Guitar

The other day I started this photoshop tutorial, and by the end of it I had decided to turn the graphic into a one page website. Even though there isn’t much on it, I made ‘paulplaysguitar.com‘.

In the long run I might turn it into a resume for my guitar playing, but for now it is a fancy graphic and a paragraph or two. On the website, click on the main graphic for the pop up window.

I got a new amp. It is pretty big! Turns out, now I have the same set up as Albert Hammond Jr which can’t be a bad thing!
